Positive:
1) Large Display (with backlight option)
2) Can show me the distance to the desired waypoint
3) Shows the direction of the sun and moon in relation to North and the chosen waypoint
4) Has space for memory chip and ability to upload detailed maps
5) Waypoints and tracks can be downloaded to and from the computer
6) Waterproof (I've used it in the rain)

Negative:
1) The unit has shut off for no apparent reason (not lately though)
2) Occasionally the basemaps are off by as much as 500 feet.
3) Not small enough to fit in my back pocket or to pretend its a cell phone.
