Wow!!! Just woke up to a new episode of Podcacher and realised that the intro was new….

Yup, just made some changes. It’s been a while!

OK, so it’s been awhile, but my first question is, are the forums no more?

    • PodCacher August 3, 2015 at 11:17 am #

Hi welcome back! We shut down the forums last year for a number of reasons but we have something in the works.

Being a Michigan native I got a kick out of you trying to figure out how to pronounce Dowagiac. (pronounced “doe-wah-jack”) You were close except you were trying to make it four syllables instead of just three.

      Thanks! I was tryin’!

It was just mentioned yesterday on the NYC Geocaching Facebook page that Opencaching.com, the site where your dive caching guest said was the best place to search for their caches, is no longer available. I’m not a diver, but was interested in checking it out.

Wow that’s really interesting. Opencaching.com seems to have been shut down. We’ll see what we can find out.

I’m listening to old episodes to stave off the depression of being at work instead of out geocaching and the first dive cache listed caught my attention, as the CO and his wife were the two to introduce me to geocaching way back in 2007 or 2008. She was my best friend in college and he was pretty much our illegal fifth flatmate. I always kind of wanted to do this cache, mostly because of who the COs are, and here it is, featured on my favorite geocaching podcast! Kind of fun how that works sometimes! Sadly they are no longer caching and who knows if the cache is still there, having not been found in five years now.

      Hey that’s a cool connection!
