Anyway, I can tell you about another funny application of the bandana. Some years ago I did a bicycle ride through Spain in the summer heat especially when climbing up the Sierra Nevada. The area is dry like a desert and I had constantly insects around my head because the sweat is the only thing they can drink. But then I put a bandana around my head and all the insects and mosquitos were gone, because there was nothing more to drink.
