All 7 continents? What an amazing achievement. I checked Ceolmhor’s profile on geocaching.com as I wondered what other countries he was caching in. I learned he found caches in Zimbabwe and Zambia (while there is like 30 caches in the whole country). Pretty cool! Sounds like another topic for an interview.

Thanks for an inspiring show! Listing to your voices every Monday became my ritual. Greetings from Poland!

    • Grant (Carbon Hunter) March 4, 2015 at 2:01 am #

Zambia and Zimbabwe – i managed to do them last year too – also left the first earthcache behind in zambia 🙂

    • Sandy March 4, 2015 at 9:57 pm #

Hey thanks for writing from Poland! Glad you enjoyed it!

    • gaugeman March 6, 2015 at 9:13 am #

Fabulous achievement. I have just got back (literally today) from a Caribbean cruise where I found caches in seven new countries!. The caches in Colombia are definitely in South America but where does the division between North and South America come? I also got caches in Honduras so could this count as North America? if so that makes five continents for me. Just Australia and Antarctica to go, but although I like cruising I think the crossing to Antarctica would be too rough for me!

The other thing of note was I downloaded and then listened to this podcast whilst sitting on a beautiful Honduran beach watching the world go by – just perfect.

  7. Youkfish March 2, 2015 at 1:01 pm #

What an excellent discussion with Ceolmhor! I live in the Denver area and have met him at events and once on the trail while he was “training” for his trip to New Zeland, a very nice guy. Adding the penguin post office to my bucket list!

    • Sandy March 4, 2015 at 9:59 pm #

Yep, what a great cache to have on your bucket list. We can dream, right?!?

Great show once again. Hearing about caching in antarctica was interesting, even tough I most likely won’t have the opportunity to go there myself. Keep on caching

  11. Mike Pacholik March 2, 2015 at 2:27 pm #

Great show. Really liked the interview. Enjoyed it while driving in the crazy hard rain today. It looked like it snow in Huntington Beach with all the hale. I hope at 70 I have the energy to do what Ceolmhor is doing. Amazing.

    • Sandy March 4, 2015 at 10:02 pm #

I saw the photos of the hail in HB. Amazing!!

  12. Sydney March 2, 2015 at 3:28 pm #

  13. Airrooster March 2, 2015 at 8:53 pm #

  14. TechieSkittles March 3, 2015 at 12:01 am #

The podcast is always inspiring, but this one particularly so! As a new cacher I love listening to tips, tricks, and stories. Feeding the cravings one podcast at a time!

    • Sandy March 4, 2015 at 10:03 pm #

We’re happy to help with those cravings…

  15. Dopey919 March 3, 2015 at 9:01 am #

Great interview Sonny, I am pretty sure I am going to make going to Antarctica a reality now! It’s warmer there, then it is where I am right now, so it cant be all bad right?

  16. Jo of coupleocachers March 3, 2015 at 10:50 am #

I’m so tickled that Sean is enjoying the jet pack!

And putting on my GW13 committee member hat…Please help get Team Podcacher out to GW13! The event is shaping up to be the biggest GW yet. How big? Possibly Giga. What will it take to make it Giga? Attendees! If you’re even thinking about coming post a Will Attend on the cache page and register on our Website. Geocaching HQ will make their decision on whether we are Mega or Giga based on those numbers and from their guidelines for Gigas it looks like this designation must be made BEFORE the event. The trip will be well worth it. There is wonderful caching in the region and you’ll be very close to other states and DC if you’re looking to fill in your states cached in map. The venue has several museums on site and the whole area is rich in history. We’re going to have a TON of vendors. There will be lots of activities for cachers of all ages, great informational sessions, and knowing the person who will be working on the LAB caches they’ll be awesome.

    • Sandy March 4, 2015 at 10:03 pm #

THANKS, Jo! We really hope this works!!

  17. Tim Rathjen (RatNKids) March 3, 2015 at 12:08 pm #

Really enjoyed the interview. Have been actively geocaching for less than a year and hearing the interesting challenges others have added to the game is inspiring.
Our family will also be vacationing in San Diego over pi day. Glad you mentioned the evening event, we have already logged a Will Attend.

    • Sandy March 4, 2015 at 10:04 pm #

Awesome! Glad you can make it to our event!! Look forward to meeting you.

  18. Limax March 3, 2015 at 1:07 pm #

Haven’t gotten all the way through the podcast yet, but I really enjoyed the interview! All seven continents is QUITE an achievement! Wish I also didn’t suffer from seasickness…

  19. Austin March 3, 2015 at 7:28 pm #

Great show! Enjoyed scrolling through the photos after I got home today. Great achievement! Thanks for another show!

  20. ds8300 March 4, 2015 at 9:06 am #

What a fantastic achievement and an interesting personality. I would really love to visit the Antarctic except that I get enough cold weather here in Sweden. 🙂

I managed to find caches on six continents in the first two and a half years since I started geocaching in 2003 but the seventh and final continent has not been on my target sheet. Perhaps with inspiration from Ceolmhor I may add that to my existing targets. It’s worth a look for my next trip to NZ.

    • Sandy March 4, 2015 at 10:08 pm #

Well, you’re just better prepared for the cold weather, right?!? And having 6 continents is still pretty amazing! We only have 3.

  21. Axeman22 March 4, 2015 at 10:09 pm #

I hate the cold but now you have me actually wanting to go to Antarctica! But no polar plunge for an Earthcache, a traditional will do just fine! Love the podcast!

  22. Geobikers* March 4, 2015 at 10:53 pm #

Our goal was to find a cache in every state. That now seems like not much of a goal compared to what Ceolmhor has accomplished. May have to rethink my goals. Thanks for a great show. I look forward to Monday mornings so I can listen to your show at the gym. Keep up the good work.

  23. Jim52 (Jim Carter) March 5, 2015 at 7:11 am #

    Great show
I would really love to get a cache in all continents.
Even in a Canadian Prov. and USA states.
    Something to work for.
    Keep on caching!!!

  24. Tony (kokohawk) March 5, 2015 at 9:35 am #

I just joined in on the geocaching goodness less than a week ago and am happy that I did. I have wondered before about how many people have geocached all 7 continents. If I ever win the lottery I’m going to do just that.

  25. Orange&Blue March 6, 2015 at 2:39 pm #

    Enjoyed hearing about Antarctica.

  26. Antihiro March 6, 2015 at 5:43 pm #

Seven continents! What an amazing achievement. Another great show! Thanks for all that you guys do. Love listening to the show every Monday. Keep up the fantastic work!

  27. Kittykatch March 12, 2015 at 4:26 am #

Great show – I am looking forward to checking out the Quest Scouts website.

  28. subwaymark March 13, 2015 at 12:54 pm #

Enjoyed the show as always. Maybe some day I can get to 7 continents, but I have been to 3, and 23 countries, sadly 2 of them were BG (Before Geocaching). Keep up the great work!!

  29. GeoJono March 30, 2015 at 5:35 pm #

Excellent show! I loved hearing the interview with the cacher that has been to (and cached) all 7 continents. I’ve dreamed of going to Antarctica for a long time; I doubt I’ll get there. So it was cool to hear about it.

Thanks for the show (I’m trying to catch up; I’m several episodes behind).
