Geocaching Makes Headline News …

... in a BAD way.

News Story

This is NOT good.

For many people, this may be the first time that they have ever heard of geocaching.

Some people may seek to label geocaching as dangerous and threatening.

Some of these people may be voters or people who write laws.

Some laws / perceptions could restrict and limit our benign, harmless activity.

It's important that people hear about the positive aspects of geocaching.

Please pitch in and help keep our sport safe, clean and positive:
Educate cache hiders on "good and bad" locations.
Don't trample, tread lightly, leave no trace.
Pick up trash on the way out (CITO).
Eat your fruits and vegetables.

Peace

'nuff sed ...

It is sad that the world has changed so much since September 11th. We must all be vigilant not only for our security, but also how we have fun. Bridges, highway overpasses and dams should not be considered for geocache hides.

Yeah…not thinking which we need to do now more than ever. I really hope we don’t end up losing this fun activity because of bad press. AND, when I look at the picture and see where the container is the first thing that came to mind is; “How is someone supposed to reach that???”
