I don’t like to hear geocache pundits denigrate the venerable Altoids tin. Besides being readily available and delightfully fun to empty, they are a handy size for magnetizing and putting under lamppost skirts or other sheltered spots. I spray mine with clear Rustoleum or sometimes a color. I treat the closure rim with some lubricant like petroleum jelly or that ubiquitous spray that’s supposed to be good for everything. I put a note in the cache description asking finders to tell me when it needs attention. I have several out and regularly maintain them.
