One Response to Show 795.0: Greatest Finds & Geocaching Acronym Quiz

I was shocked and surprised by the exclusive use of “acronym” on show 795.0, “Greatest Finds & Geocaching Acronym Quiz.” I guess you forgot about show 386.0 when cacher John Galt? explained the difference between abbreviations, acronyms, and initialisms.

On that show you suggested that podcacher listeners could henceforth act all self-righteous when others referred to “TFTC” and “FTF” as acronyms. I followed that advice and now all my former geocaching friends have shunned and abandoned me. At events, I’m relegated to the “giant ego-head” table in the corner holding a sign that reads, “Ask me how to pronounce CITO.” It’s not pretty.

Oh, one more thing. I know Sonny was only kidding when pretending not to know what YAPIDKA stood for. Sandy told him what it was on show 30 way back in the good old days.
